Ajvar is a very popular Balkan and eastern European product. It is made mostly from red peppers and eggplant, and is excellent as a dip or spread. We've experiemtned and found many other uses including mixing it with scrambled eggs or as a base for a red pepper spread. Also available in a Hot version.
